The people at Felco responded with this compact design for those of us with smaller hand who loved the #F-6 but wanted a rotating handle pruner for big pruning jobs.

The problem many of us encounter is that we have to do heavy pruning just a couple of times a year, typically in the Spring and Fall, so we go out and spend a week-end pruning like crazy. Then it takes a couple of weeks for blisters and muscle soreness to subside. The answer from Felco is the rotating hand pruner. Like the full-size models, the rotating handle on this pruner helps reduce hand strain and blisters from prolonged pruning work. The smaller cutting head allows for precision pruning.
